Yet another version of ''Meet the Parents'', this time switching genders. The preppy son of a wealthy and liberal family brings his uptight new girlfriend home. They take an instant dislike to her and set about making her stay unpleasant. She, in desperation, brings in her sister for moral support, which just manages to complicate things even further. Meanwhile, her beloved boyfriend is doing his best to persuade his mother to hand over grandma's expensive diamond engagement ring.
