Set during the Truth and Reconciliation hearings, a black American journalist meets a white South African journalist. As they cover the proceedings, they proceed to getting under the covers themselves, in spite of their very different opinions about the whole TRC affair. Their growing romance is complicated by the fact that her brother may have been involved in some of the atrocities. Reviewers found the plotline to be too 'contrived'.
