A young zebra, travelling with a circus in America, gets lost and is rescued by a teenage girl. She raises the zebra on her family stud farm, next to their thoroughbred racehorses. Soon, the zebra starts to think that he is also a racehorse, and wants a race. The girl has trouble persuading her father to let her race the zebra, since her mom was killed in an horseracing accident. But this is a kiddie's movie so you know how it's going to turn out...
