Connie and Carla are two lounge singers in Chicago, until they witness a mob hit. In fear, they flee to Los Angeles, and pose as drag artists, still singing for their supper. While staying undercover, they become moderately famous, until one of them finds a man after her... and she can't reveal that she's actually a woman...
