This film takes a fictional look at how J.M. Barrie came to write his famous stage play, Peter Pan. At the time, he was having marital problems, and his latest play was a flop. He found comfort with a young widow and her four sons, who he entertained with flights of whimsey. As things progressed, he slowly developed the plans for Peter Pan, based on the games he played with the boys. The film was nominated for several Oscars, but reviews have been mixed.
