Despite the pedigrees of the writers involved, this movie has been slated by the critics. Set around Christmas time in a small neighbourhood, mom and dad are suffering from Empty Nest syndrome, as their daughter has gone to South America and it's their first Christmas without her. To cheer up, they decide to go on a cruise instead of wasting money with Christmas, but this decision does not go down well in their community. Then, a few days before Christmas, they hear that their daughter is coming back with her new South American boyfriend. In a tizz, they decide to join the Christas lemmings after all...
