A young man's mother was a staunch communist in East Germany. She took ill and spent eight months in a coma. While she was out, the East Bloc fell apart and the Berlin Wall came down. Now that she is awake, her son worries that the sudden shock of the disappearance of everything she held dear would kill her. So he sets about faking things to make her believe nothing has changed...
