This prequel kicks off post-WW II in Africa, where a young priest is trying to come to terms with what happened in the war. He accepts an invitation to investigate a 1500 year old church recently discovered in Kenya. There he meets a pretty doctor, and gets to deal not only with the devil, but also with the locals who blame them for the bad things happening around them.
