This musical is set at a camp for aspiring actors and singers, of the kind that American parents send their kids to for the summer holidays. There's the usual cross-section of society, chosen for their weirdness level, and the requisite teacher with a drinking problem. The kids deal with sexual issues between all the singing and hijinks, made more delicate by the fact that one of them is a transvestite (hence the Camp pun).
