This film takes a look at the kidnapping ''industry'' through the eyes of a 10 year old boy. Set in Italy, he is enjoying the summer holidays in his village when he stumbles across another small boy, chained to the bottom of a pit. As they get to know each other, he becomes aware that perhaps the adults in his village, including his own parents, know more about the chained boy than they are letting on...
