This year's Woody Allen release is set once again in New
York, with a young surrogate standing in for Woody. After
breaking up with his girlfriend, our hero, a young struggling
writer, falls madly in love with a young woman. She is a
sexually flighty wanna-be actress. Complicating matters further
is his mentor, an ageing former comedy writer who wants our
hero to end the romance and come with him to fame and fortune
