''Pitch Black'' did well enough on video that they had to make a sequel. Set five years later, our hero Riddick is stuck in a penal colony, with a price on his head. When some nasties from outer space arrive to take over a planet, the planet's leader, under influence of a priestess, thinks Riddick is just the man to save the planet. His first problem, however, is escaping from the penal colony... The film blends elements of Shakespeare's ''Macbeth'' with the unstoppable approach of Star Trek's Borg armies.
