Set in east London in the 1960s, this film takes a look at racial prejudice in England at the time. Told through the eyes of an 11 year old Jewish boy with a love for cricket but little talent for it, until a Jamaican family moves in next door. Their dad puts up a cricket net, and is soon coaching the boy in the art of cricket. His daughter also joins the show, but the rest of the neighbours do not like what is happening...
