Set around 1865 in the American west, our heroine is a rugged and independent frontierswoman. Things get complicated when her dad, who abandoned her 20 years before to rough it with the Indians, reappears, wanting reconciliation. Then some Indians kidnap her eldest daughter, so she persuades dad to help her track them down after the army fails. Her younger daughter insists on tagging along, which leads to more problems as they try to outsmart the Indians and recover her daughter.
