Set on Thanksgiving Day in America, our heroine is a rebellious young woman living with her boyfriend. Her estranged family and dying mother are coming to visit for the Thanksgiving meal. Naturally this set the scene for disaster, as she can't cook, and, to make matters worse, she discovers that her oven, which she has never used, is broken. Forced to rely on neighbours, they struggle to prepare the meal as her family prepares themselves for the ordeal...
