Ian Douglas: Charlize gives an outstanding performance, but perhaps the storyline has more interest to women than to me. In essence it's a girl-meets-girl, as the unloved street prostitute finally finds love where she least expects it. Driven to support her new lover, and apparently becoming disgusted with men, she develops from someone who killed in self defence to someone who kills for money and to stay ahead of the law. The love story, however, has nowhere to go and it becomes a bit tedious. Your mileage may vary :-)
