A horrific accident brings three very different people together: an ex-con now born-again Christian, a maths teacher dying of heart disease, and a former party animal now a decent wife and mother. Together, they explore concepts about mortality, religion and fate. The plotline is non-linear which has confused some people. The title refers to the amount of mass a person allegedly loses at death.
