In some ways similar to ''Bend it Like Beckham'', this coming-of-age story focuses on a twelve-year-old Indian girl living in a small village in England. Her parents are trying to keep on the traditional path for young Indian girls, but her hormones are raging... Things get worse when a blonde bombshell with domestic problems arrives, and the two of them become best buddies. On the one hand, she is drawn to her new friend's free spirit, but on the other, she is under pressure to get into a good high school.
