This highly-rated movie is set in a slum of Rio de Janeiro, sarcastically called The City of God by the slumdwellers. In essence the story follows the growth from childhood of two little boys. One developed as a vicious gang leader, while the other became a photographer. Around them, crime and violence swirled ceaselessly, as everyone struggled to survive.
