This remake of a 1950s movie plonks a young American girl into stuffy old England, when she discovers she has a dad, and he is a member of the British upper classes. The film uses that as an opportunity to poke fun at English society, while the girl and her dad work on their relationship and all the complications her sudden arrival created in his life.
