Based on an unorthodox autobiography of a minor American celebrity, Chuck Barris, the creator of a string of successful US television game shows. It seems that Barris was recruited by the CIA to do the odd murder of enemies of the state, using his frequent trips abroad with game show winners as cover. The film follows his struggles in the early days, through his successes, to his eventual failures.

Ian Douglas: If the story is true, it's pretty fascinating to see how the CIA operates.... the film has quite a bit
of humour, and unexpected cameos, the best being that by Brad Pitt and Matt Damon...
