Ian Douglas: The Matrix movies work on many levels at the same time, which results in widely varying opinions about them, depending
on which aspects you focus on. I didn't make much sense of the first one, but this I found more interesting, especially the philosophical
discussions (altho they chickened out on the tough questions). Nice special effects, especially the slo-mo fighting. On the down side, they
stole two scenes from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and one from a Jet Li movie, and Superman. It's a pretty dark movie, and the ending leaves you
hanging. Make sure to sit near the back so that you can get out quickly, since the blaring noise they play over the end titles is enough to give
you a headache.
