A coming of age tale set against the subculture of US marching bands, who generally perform during halftime at football matches. Our hero is a young buck with attitude who wins a scholarship to a southern university. His attitude soon gets him into trouble with the band leaders. Meanwhile, he is working on a romance as well, with a sophisticated young woman.
