This 'disaster-movie' take on Jules Verne's Journey to the Centre of the Earth is not to be taken seriously. In fact, it's almost in the ''It's so bad it's good'' category. The story revolves around the fact that the Earth's core has stopped spinning, leading to all sorts of natural disasters and ultimately the end of humankind. So it's up to the usual mixed bunch to get into a special vehicle and journey down to the core, to set off some nuclear bombs and get things spinning again... Although not actually a comedy, treat it as one to get your money's worth.
