A girl becomes an orphan after her parents die in a car crash. Her father's friend raises her. He arranges a groom for her, and sends her to Canada to meet him. Once there, she is in unfamiliar territory, and ends up staying with another Indian guy, an illegal immigrant. He slowly falls in love with her, and is devastated to learn that she is engaged.
