The Ring


An journalist investigating the mysterious deaths of four teenagers learns of a video tape which all four had viewed. Immediately after watching the tape, they each received a phone call, advising them that they would be dead in seven days time. Naturally, she also watches the tape, and receives the phone call. This leaves her with a week to sort out the mystery and prevent her own death...

Ian Douglas: It works okay as a thriller with mild doses of horror, but it relies on so much illogical supernatural stuff and ''Hollywood logic'' that in the end it is all a little silly. The more you think about it afterwards, the lower your rating goes.
