A tale of two romances, set amongst the English academia. An American researcher comes to London to learn more about his favourite Victorian author. He discovers some lost correspondence to a female associate of the author, who was a bit of a lesbian, and notorious for it. Trying to learn more, he consults a female expert on that long-dead woman, and, together, they investigate the matter. As they uncover the romance between the two, so too does romance between them blossom...
