This examination of the American pastiche focuses on four different families: Vietnamese, Latino, African American, and Jewish. They all stay in the same middle-class neighbourhood but are largely unaware of each other. Each family has its share of dirty laundry, and as usual, it all comes out on that most famous American holiday, Thanksgiving. The film examines how each family prepares the Thanksgiving meal, while simultaneously dealing with their own internal issues.
