The heroine of this movie is an elderly, retarded woman, one of four sisters. She lives with the oldest sister, content with her life. Unfortunately, the older sister dies, and the two other sisters, feeling unable to cope, want to put poor Pauline into an institution. However, if they do that, they lose their inheritance, so they take care of her, trying to adapt. Dutch with English subtitles.
