A remake of the famous 1975 sci-fi movie, this version moves the action to the near future, set in Central Asia. Rollerball is a violent spectator sport, in which contestants can die. When the league owner decides to up the TV ratings by making the game even more deadly, our hero and his buddies revolt against this perversion of their ''sport''. The film has struggled to make it to the big screen, suffering from excessive cuts and delayed release schedules.
