After a loving father is told that his son can not get a much-needed heart transplant until he comes up with $75000, he decides to take the whole wing of the hospital hostage. He demands a new heart for his son, threatening to shoot the hostages if his request is not met. Naturally the media get in on the act, turning him into something of a folk hero.
