The Majestic

I always wanted to be a graffiti artist... A struggling screenwriter finds himself on the Hollywood blacklist during the McCarthy era. Depressed, he turns to drink, and is involved in a car crash, which in turn has him washing up on the shore of a small town, with amnesia. The local townsfolk mistake him for the son of the local cinema owner, who disappeard during the second world war. Our hero takes over and rejuvenates the local cinema, using it to bring healing to the town and make his own statement against the system.
