Set on Mars, about 175 years into the future, a group of policemen are escorting a gang of criminals from a mining town to a nearby city. Unfortunately they disturb the resident ghosts of Mars, who prowl around as a red mist until they find a suitable human to inhabit. Soon, the former enemies (cops and crooks) find themselves working together to stay alive, as the body count mounts.
