In this look at contemporary street-level vice policing, we follow an ambitious but naive rookie cop as he spends a day with a seasoned -- and well-decorated -- veteran. Things start off sweetly enough as the rookie gets pointers on the grittier aspects of the job, but by afternoon, the day takes a very different turn as the veteran's complex plan to make some money in a hurry, begins to unfold.

Ian Douglas: I see this film has had mixed reviews overseas. It did well at the box office, and the distributors expect the same
here, which is why there is no competition for it this week. I found it quite engrossing, albeit with one or two far-too-convenient
plot twists, but as a crime thriller and who's-fooling-who it works very well.
