In brief, our heroine offers herself as a captive to a huge beast, so that he will let her father go. As time goes by, she learns to look beyond the obvious and see the inner beauty in the beast. Evita Barbara (49): Beautifully acted, lovely set, lovely tunes - only, the schmaltzy singing of the latter irritated me. Andreas Lupp (20): Arguably the most beautiful and breathtaking Disney film ever made. It is flawless in its storytelling and has a classic soundtrack that is in the popular conscience. It would be a shame for anybody to miss this film.
