I'm sure if you lost a little weight you'd be a big star...
Another Kidnap Caper similar to ''Masterpiece'' and ''Evil Woman'', but much more charming. Daddy is a big fan of his podgy teenage daughter, who he is pushing to become a singing star, somewhat against her will. He even writes songs for her, although she is spectacularly unsuccessful at winning talent competitions. He is retrenched from work and desperate for money, when fate steps in and drops Holland's top female star into his hands. He kidnaps her, demanding in exchange that her agent listen to a demo tape of his daughter and give her a break. The agent plays along, with his own hidden agenda, while the star turns out to be an ideal kidnap victim... Dutch with English subtitles.

Ian Douglas: The Dutch (or is it French and Flemish?) show Spain and Hollywood how to do a Kidnap Kaper properly. Although it
starts off a little rockily, it is way better than ''Masterpiece'' and ''Evil Woman'' in all respects, having oodles of charm
and tongue-in-cheek humour. It is a good family movie for older kids, since there are some sex-related aspects not suitable for
kiddies.
