Kiss of the Dragon

Our hero is a Chinese policeman, sent to Paris to help the French police crack a drug smuggling network between China and France. Things go wrong in the initial undercover sting, and the cop finds himself on the run, accused of murder by France's top policeman. While laying low, he meets a prostitute who was at the scene of the murder, and she agrees to help him clear his name. Expect fast, vicious martial-arts action.

Ian Douglas: Great -- and vicious -- martial arts action, let down by the basic plotline which has been done once too many time already. Li is calmly confident, Fonda mostly vacuous, and the villian so clichéd he is almost over the top. The film may have been helped by a few more comedic touches, just to lighten things up a little.
