What were you doing inside a glacier on the night of 11 June?
In this gruesome and violent French film, tailored for the American market, two cops are busy with separate investigations in different parts of the country. One is investigating brutal murders, the other, acts of vandalism. However, their trails eventually combine, and they find themselves working together, although they are very different types of policemen. The film is apparently available as a dubbed version on the commercial circuit, and in French with English subtitles on the Art circuit.

Chris Broodryk (21): Kassovitz, director of the hip French film ''Dobermann'', manages to make a menacing landscape
of the picturesque university-town where the film is located. Reno's screen magnetism and Cassel's energy work great
seperately; unfortunately, when they eventually join forces, their relationship is as clichéd as any buddy-cop
relationship you'd expect to see in a mainstream Hollywood movie. Still, it's leagues better than any recent thriller to
grace our screen -- and try to see the subtitled version!
