In this lighthearted romp through the middle ages, our hero is a poor English lad who decides to earn money by taking part in jousting tournaments, even though he is not of noble birth. Being particularly talented and courageous, he is soon on a winning streak, attracting the attention of the princess. However, she has another admirer, a really nasty -- and ruthless -- nobleman.
Ian Douglas: Some overseas critics, for some reason, compared this to Gladiator. I don't see why -- Gladiator is a serious historical epic, this is a lighthearted teenage-romantic-comedy, which just happens to be set in the past. As is par for the genre, it provides enough action to keep the guys happy, enough romance to keep the girls happy, and enough comedy to keep everyone in a good mood. Should do well :-).
June Quin (48): I went to the movies on a whim. What a great night out - I have not laughed at a film as much in ages
(I do have DSAT before you say I am over the hill etc). I have recommended this to all my friends.
Maxie Venter (18): It was excellent!!
L Solomon (31): Nice story, strange use of music though.
