Liam
Set in England between the two World Wars, this film has a
similar feel to ''Angela's Ashes''. The eponymous hero is
a little boy, the youngest in the family, and we experience what
happens in the world through his eyes. There are actually three
intermingled stories - Liam, his father, and his sister, each with their
own problems brought about by the Depression. Note that the film
features a scene of full-frontal female nudity, even though the
age restriction does not mention ''N''.91 minutes, No persons under 16. Drama.

Ian Douglas: When looked back on from a distance, the film deals with the problems that dogma -- whether religious or political -- cause in the lives of people. I found the movie pretty depressing, and am glad to have been spared a Catholic schooling like poor Liam's.
