Thirteen Days

Thank goodness Slick Willie was not in charge! Set in 1962, this film takes a detailed look at what happened in the US White House during the Cuban Missile Crisis. For those that don't know about this, during the Cold War between the USA and the USSR, the Russians started installing nuclear missiles in Cuba, off the American coast. This led to a game of political brinkmanship as President Kennedy and his advisors tried to get the missiles removed without war breaking out, and without alarming the American public.

145 minutes, Parental Guidance (Language).

Ian Douglas: An adult drama, youngsters may find it a bit slow. However older audiences, especially those who can remember back to 1962, are likely to find this engrossing.
