A woman-orientated film which examines the lives of five women, who interact without knowing it. A doctor is unfulfilled in love. A bank manager discovers she's pregnant after a three year affair with a married man, while a single mother with a teenage son is intrigued by the dwarf who moves in across the street. Further, a tarot card reader takes care of her terminally ill lover, and a police detective helps her blind sister prepare for her many dates instead of pursuing romance herself.
