Monkeybone
In this mix of live action and computer animation, our hero is a cartoon strip creator about
to strike the big time, as well as propose to his girlfriend. Then tradegy strikes and a car accident
puts him into a coma. According to the film, people in a coma enter a mysterious world between life and death, while
they wait to see if they will live or die. Our hero and his creation, a hyper-active monkey, are in this world together, where
the monkey pulls a stunt and our hero's body comes back to life, but controlled by the monkey. Naturally he is totally out of
control, using the opportunity to take revenge for his monkey-likeness not having any sexual organs. Our real hero, meanwhile,
tries hard to get back to Earth, eventually hijacking the body of a badly injured athlete.Critical opinion has been mixed, and it should be noted that this film is *not* kiddie fare. 91 minutes, No persons under 10.
