A poor black schoolboy has exceptional writing and sporting abilities, which earn him a scholarship to a posh school. While he has trouble fitting in there, he makes friends with a reclusive author living in his neighbourhood. These two writers help each other in different ways: the old man teaches the youngster advanced writing skills, while the youth teaches the recluse how to get back into the world.

Lorraine Uys (59): Beautiful! Sean Connery & his secret illness played out very well. Young black man up & coming actor. Story line good and left cinema with a lovely warm feeling. I like being entertained like this.
