Red Planet Set some time in the future, Mankind is busy with plans to migrate to Mars, as Earth is becoming uninhabitable. Ian Douglas: This film has been generally slated by the critics. It suffers from "me-too-itis", as it is just too similar to other recent releases, especially Mission to Mars and Pitch Black. In the end, it is just another "guess who dies next, and how" thriller set in outer space.
