The film follows his first year in the job, as he enters the hostile environment and moulds a winning team out of the white and black players, who hate each other at first.

The Moviesite Fan Club comments

Ian Douglas: Yes, the storyline is somewhat cliched and has been done to death by Hollywood. However this film is saved by several things, being based on real people and real events, with a great script and sterling performances all round. It is character-driven, with most action taking place off the field (I was dreading Yet Another American Football Movie, but my fears were groundless). And oh yeah, a star is born... she is about 9 years old and her name is Hayden Panettiere. She lights up the screen and steals every scene she appears in. Remember the name :-). And take plenty of tissues!

Joseph Still (40): Hard hitting, true, necessary and still a lesson many need to learn today.

Kellie Gin (15): This was a very moving movie. I have watched it several times and never tire of it and it's meaning. Great movie with a great story and message.
