A time-conscious Federal Express manager survives a plane crash over the Pacific ocean, and finds himself marooned on a deserted island. He struggles to survive, creating an imaginary friend out of a volleyball to keep him company.
Ian Douglas: this did well at the US box office, I don't know why. Basically a rehash of the Robinson Crusoe story (without Man Friday), it goes on way too long past it's natural climax, leading to an unclear ending. A Pacific island without sharks or birds? Come on...
Stephan Laubscher (28): I think the movie is unecessarily over criticized by the media. It may not be brilliant but it is definitely not worth anyhting less than 60-70%. I don't care what well known critics think. I know movies and Cast Away was a worthwhile watch.
Simone Eichler (25): I was expecting a little bit more form this movie, but enjoyed it non the less. I laughed and cried, was thrilled and touched.
