Bootmen
Set in an Australian working class environment, our hero is
in a dead-end industrial job. His passion is tap dancing, and
after blowing his first professional appearance, he decides
to start his own troupe. Problem is, he has no money. The
whole situation is complicated by his brother's illegal
activities. Then the factory starts closing down, and the
brothers decide to put on a benefit for the workers. The film
is based on the true story of a famous Australian tap dancer,
and features some great modern tap.93 minutes, No persons under 13 (Language). Comedy, Drama.

Ian Douglas: Aimed squarely at the teen market, it should be a hit. Nice to see tap dancing going in more creative directions than top hat and tails.
