Our hero is an overweight 30-something guy who is a master at seducing women -- by means of a philosophy he calls the Tao of Steve -- which is to be so laid back and uninterested that women throw themselves at him. This plan goes through the window when he meets a set designer who is more than a match for him, which forces him to reevaluate his life, and his basic philosophies. The film seems to appeal more to women, even though it is about a guy.
