A reinterpretation of the famous 1971 film, our hero is the nephew of the original crime fighter. Also a detective, he is outraged when a rich white man is set to get away with the cold-blooded murder of a black man. Shaft is determined to see that justice is done, no matter what the cost to himself. Things get complicated when the murderer teams up with a wannabe social-climbing drug dealer, leading to the final showdown.
